I am slowly transferring my sermon notes to this webpage to make them more accessible.

Rethinking compassion

We are not as compassionate as the word of God tells us to be. We are supposed to be the most compassionate people on the planet.

Exodus 2: Moses became Pharaoh’s daughter’s son. One act of compassion changed the course of history.

Rethink compassion:

  1. Compassion is never weakness. When Jesus was moved by compassion, miracles happened. Compassion, kindness, humility, gentleness and patience.
  2. It’s not what you have, it’s how you use it. “If you bless me, I will be a blessing.” 1 John 3:17. God expects me to be a conduit of His compassion. Before I ask God for blessings, I will bless God with what I have.
  3. When I do what only I can do, God does what only God can do. God loves to reward compassion with the miraculous. One act of compassion can change the course of our life.
