I’ve experienced and understand the ups and downs of being a small business owner and how to navigate both the good and the bad. I can still see my sixty-dollar per month food budget in the rearview mirror like it was yesterday, while today, my businesses spend six figures in the same timeframe just to keep the lights on!
For as long as I can remember, I’ve loved building things. It started in childhood with Legos, Lincoln Logs, Erector sets, models, rockets, robots—anything I could get my hands on. I was always taking things apart to understand how they worked, constantly dissecting the world around me in my mind and trying to figure out how everything fit together. I’d also literally do this with lawnmowers, computers—anything mechanical or electronic.
As an entrepreneur, this deep understanding and curiosity on how things work and how they can be improved is my secret weapon. I can see an idea through from ideation to completion. I can see the bottlenecks that are holding a business back both visually and systematically. I can take a problem, run through countless scenarios, anticipate the chain reactions each choice might trigger, and find the best path forward—often with little hesitation.
